Radiotherapy Analysis Management System (RAMS)

The following is a description and the details of our RAMS management solution: Radiotherapy Analysis Management System (RAMS) is installed in hospital radiation facilities all over the United States including: Harper Hospital and the William Beaumont Hospitals in Michigan, the Medical college of Ohio in Toledo, Ohio, and the Baptist Medical Center in Montclair, Alabama just to name a few. These sites rely on RAMS for everything from the moment the patient walks into the facility to the time the patient is billed and the payment is received.

One of RAMS unique features is the patient card and queue system. Upon arrival at the facility, the patient is registered with a patient ID card. When the patient comes in for subsequent visits, they run the card through a card reader and the patient's name is displayed on queue monitors throughout the entire facility alerting the staff of their presence. When the patient is moved into a treatment room, or anywhere else in the facility, the patient's name moves into the appropriate location on the queue screen. This way, the facility staff always know where the patient is located and their treatment progress.

RAMS may be interfaced to the treatment machines within the facility; therefore, all the treatment doses are accounted for and automatically entered into the billing information. This charge capture system is one of the ways RAMS has been most cost effective over other management systems.

Not only can RAMS be accessed from the local area network, but also from any Internet node (after appropriate user authentication). This allows doctors to get their schedules no matter where they are, billing information is passed to health care providers, and treatment data is remotely accessible. Due to the flexibility of the Internet and of Intranets (local area networks on the Internet with a private share of resources), features such as E-mail, remote access, local and remote printing, shared network drives, group scheduling, private and shared address books, and World Wide Web browsing are possible at every desktop.
